Yes! When you book a free appointment on our website (or by phone) we call it an estimate, just like we do with fences. But for fences, most folks already know more or less what they want, and the design and pricing is usually straightforward. For decks the appointments are still free, but they are much more consultative.
Our sales representative will meet you at your home and discuss what kind of deck you’re looking and hoping for. There’s a lot to go over: fascia, skirting, steps, and accessories for example. If the initial price is out of your range he’ll work with you to come up with a the design that lines up with your budget and desires.
In short, fence appointments are true estimates whereas deck appointments are much more of a consultation and design meeting.
With decks there is always a lot to discuss.
