For my railing, do you attach it to my house or do you put a post next to my house?

If it’s an iron hand rail, then yes, we will anchor it directly to your house.

If it’s a vinyl or aluminum railing on a porch or deck, the connection surface is much larger than with iron railings. This makes a flush connection difficult with brick and other common housing materials. The larger surface also makes damage to the house from the connection more likely. For these materials, whenever possible, we install a post right next to the house and then install the railing from that post.
