Timing issues are the biggest challenge in our industry and it’s something we work on every day. Generally it’s not possible to speed up any given order because it’s already being done as fast as we can within the limits of our FIFO system. FIFO stands for “First In, First Out.” Briefly, it means your job gets done before the folks who sign after you. You can read more about it here.
But…
We have different lead times for different materials. Your sales rep will go over them with you. Occasionally a customer will choose a material with a shorter lead time because they prefer an earlier installation. It’s not something that happens often, but it’s worth considering if the timing of the job is extremely important to you.
The bottom line:
We try to keep to our schedule as much as possible. Your material choice can affect your installation date. Given our FIFO system, the best way to get an early date is to sign as early as possible.
