We don’t recommend it. If you only stain one side of the fence, you are leaving the other side vulnerable to damage from weather conditions.

In fact, a partial staining can do more harm than good. By preventing rainwater from evaporating on both sides of the fence, you are creating an environment where mold, mildew, and rot can thrive. This can lead to costly repairs in the future.

If you’re buying a new fence and you don’t get along with your neighbour it makes sense to choose a maintenance-free material like vinyl. This will ensure that both sides of the fence are protected and will help prevent any potential disputes with your neighbour.
