Steel Posts have many benefits: Longevity: Typically posts are the first structural component to wear in a wood fence. Steel Posts solve that problem. Strength: PostMaster posts can handle more than double the usual maximum wind load on a fence. Warranty: PostMaster posts include a 15 year manufacturer's warranty. Wood has none. Fascia is the trim on the side of the deck between the deck boards and skirting. It can be Single, Double, Triple, or there can be none.
Skirting is the covering on the vertical sides of your deck. Skirting can be done with 1"x6" privacy fence boards, Victorian lattice, Georgian lattice, or there can be none.
The number of Steps up to your deck is determined by the height of the main flooring. Wood Steps should be a minimum of 4' wide.
Screw Piles are posts that are turned into the ground by machine as opposed to the usual digging and cementing process. They are a requirement for most deck permits.
There is no limit to the colours available. Send us a sample of a colour you prefer and we can have a computer-scanned match made up (a small surcharge will apply).
Our Steel Hand Rails add a little something for seniors, curving or bending to fit almost any angle and attaching to almost any post or wall surface.
Special brackets fasten the Beer Rail Topper on top of a 2x4 vinyl top rail. Available in any of our composite deck colours (does not work for stairs and might not be possible to attach to already existing railings).
Hidden Deck Screws are installed with the CAMO Marksman Pro. The side angle entry hides the fasteners from view.
For stairs, a Paslode nailer is used to achieve the same effect.
Our Under-Fence Gap Protection covers up spaces at the bottom of the fence when there are changes in grade. The boards are stuck into the ground, not directly attached to the fence. This prevents the fence from heaving due to seasonal changes.
A Continuous Top Rail goes over the posts so there is no need for post caps.
4' and 6' Maximum Wide Panels mean a stronger fence and the opportunity for less space between the bottom of the fence and the ground. It's very popular with pet-friendly families. Ask your sales rep for details.
The Heavy upgrade includes 5/4 x 6 fence boards on PostMaster steel posts. Ask your sales rep for details.
With a Sloped Fence upgrade the panels are angled to minimize gaps beneath the fence.
The Add-a-Rail Upgrade increases the strength and durability of any wood fence. For fences that look the same front and back you can order a rail set (i.e., two mid rails, one for each side) or choose just the one in back.
