In the Ottawa area, as long as there is a pool legal fence in or around the yard you’re okay. It’s a great idea to put an additional fence around the pool itself to protect little ones, but if it’s all adults in the household many folks find it unnecessary. Either way you’re fine as long as your yard is protected by a pool legal fence.
