🌲 Pre-Staining Wood Pre-staining wood fences at the shop lets stain soak into every surface before installation, giving a rich colour and bringing out the grain and texture of the wood. While stain can help reduce fading from sunlight and may be less appealing to insects, its main purpose is aesthetic — it doesn’t stop wood from cracking or warping and doesn’t come with a wood warranty.
